From 1999 to 2019, the Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints headlined the Friday night portion of the Northern Nationals in Superior, WI at Gondik Law Speedway.
In IRA’s last appearance there Jake Blackhurst topped Scotty Thiel and Brooke Tatnell in a thriller on the fast 3/8 red clay. After months of negotiating, the 410 winged sprint cars of the Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints will be returning Friday night, Sept 8th to continue their Northern Nationals tradition as they’ll headline the Friday night show of the 35th annual Northern Nationals at Gondik Law Speedway in Superior. Making this sprint car event that much better will be the fact that our friends with the Grand Forks, ND based Northern Outlaw Sprint Association (NOSA) have been invited to join in on the high speed fun. Teams will be aiming at a $4000 winner’s share and at least $400 for starting at the 35th running of this huge traditional multi-day event presented by Bay Lock & Security.
For IRA it sets up for a big 2-day weekend as the series will head to the Cedar Lake Speedway on Saturday Sept 9th for the annual running of one of IRA’s crown jewels, the Jerry Richert Memorial. This traditional weekend was a fixture on the IRA schedule for 21 years, and now the tradition continues.
