After nearly a three-month hiatus amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Howard Moore returned to the driver seat over the weekend. Moore piloted the Ag Rains No. 3, 360-Winged Sprint car in the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters 2020 Speedweek presented by SpeedShiftTV.com.
The action kicked off on Friday night at Old No. 1 Speedway in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Howard started the night with a runner-up finish in his heat race to lock into the ninth-starting position on the feature grid. Unfortunately, Moore suffered mechanical issues at the start of the main event that ended his night early.
On Saturday, the USCS Speedweek invaded Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. After starting eighth in his heat race, Howard advanced to a fifth-place finish to earn the 13th spot for the main event. In the feature, Moore was involved in an incident that resulted in a broken right rear shock, forcing him to retire from the remainder of the race.
Wrapping up the USCS Speedway on Sunday at Lexington 104 Speedway (Lexington, Tenn.), Howard started the night with a heat race win. Starting the A-Main in fourth, Moore advanced two spots to a solid runner-up finish behind race winner, Derek Hager. Jordon Mallett, Dale Howard, and Danny Smith rounded out the Top-5.
