Howard Moore returned to Riverside International Speedway over the weekend for the 12th Annual Fall Nationals.
A stout field of 36 United Sprint Car Series (USCS) 360 Outlaw Thunder Tour sprint cars were on hand for the two-day program.
In preliminary action on Friday, Howard grabbed a heat race victory, earning him the fourth starting position for the pole scramble. Unfortunately, contact on the opening circuit left Moore's No. 3 with front end damage. Knocked out of contention, he would fall to seventh-place finish.
Locked into the seventh starting spot for the first of two features on Saturday, Howard suffered mechanical issues that forced him to retire to a 21st place outing. In the second feature, Moore charged forward from his 20th starting position to register a solid seventh-place finish.
