PETALUMA, CA. - July 28, 2012: The Pit Stop USA Sprint Car Series continued its recent series of incredible finishes Saturday night at Petaluma Speedway. Bradley Terrell lived up to his nickname “The BT Express” by charging his way up from his ninth place starting position to win the Pit Stop USA Sprint Car Series main event in dramatic fashion at Petaluma Speedway.
The 21-year-old Sebastopol driver once again showed his tenacious driving style in earning his fifteenth feature win at the 3/8 mile track. Terrell aggressively stormed through the pack and took the lead from former two-time Civil War Series Champion Mike Henry on lap 17 when Henry got hung up with lapped traffic. Fast qualifier Henry charged back to challenge Terrell on the final corner and the two crossed the finish line together in a dead heat with the transponder showing Terrell the winner by .027 seconds. Kirk Simpson, Geoff Ensign and Chase Johnson rounded out the top five.
The victory was the second in the past three races for Terrell and the 2010 Petaluma Speedway Champion extended his points lead to 26 over Chase Johnson. Heat race wins went to Bradley Terrell, Billy Butler and Chase Johnson.
