For the first time in his career Bill Balog will compete at DIRTcar Nationals with the All Star Circuit of Champions and the World of Outlaws
Brookfield, Wisconsin (January 25th, 2023) – Bill Balog and B Squared Motorsports will kick off their inaugural season partnering with Ozzie Motorsports at the 2023 DIRTcar Nationals, the 52nd Anniversary of Volusia Speedway Park’s showcase event, a two-week extravaganza of DIRTcar racing featuring the nation’s premier short-track racing divisions.
After ten IRA Sprint Car Series Championships and two years competing with the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions tour the newly formed team will look for Bill Balog’s fourth career ASCoC victory Tuesday, February 7th and Wednesday, February 8th. The team will continue the five day race run clashing with the The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars Thursday, February 9th through Saturday, February 11th in the Anderson’s Maple Syrup and Gibbsville Cheese backed 17B sprint car.
“We learned a ton competing Nationally with the All Star Circuit of Champions over the past few years and I have to thank all the supporters that helped make that happen. We’ve proven we can compete for the win or a podium position at the highest level of sprint car racing over the years and I’m really excited to run an open schedule and be part of taking this team to the next level with Ozzie Motorsports in 2023,” said Balog, 10x IRA Sprint Car Champion and winner of the 2016 World of Outlaws Jim Boyd Memorial at Beaver Dam Raceway.
In 2023, the 17B team plans to run an open schedule of 75+ dates including competing against the World of Outlaws, All Star Circuit of Champions, High Limit Race Series and the IRA Sprint Car Series.

Bill Balog “The North Pole Nightmare”, hailing from North Pole, Alaska, and B Squared Motorsports have dominated the 410 Bumper to Bumper IRA sprint car series with 10 championships (2008-2014, 2016-2017, 19-20) since being named rookie of the year in 2005. Balog is a 134-time IRA main event winner, which is the most all-time. In comparison, Joe Roe is second on the all-time list with 61.
A three-time winner with “America’s Series”, the “North Pole Nightmare” Bill Balog and B Squared Motorsports earned All Star triumphs in back-to-back fashion at Plymouth Dirt Track and Angell Park Speedway, accumulated 45+ top-ten finishes and finished fifth and sixth in driver points over the two years with the All Star Circuit of Champions series.
In 2016, Bill bested the World of Outlaws and scored his first series victory at the Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial presented by Karavan Trailers at Beaver Dam Raceway.
