Shane Golobic Interview/ Antioch Preview/ Kaeding Performance Flashback & more on “KWS Tonight

One of the most impressive drivers in all of Northern California over the last month happens to be Fremont, California’s Shane Golobic, who is coming off his best finish of the KWS season on July 7 in Watsonville. With that in mind the 20-year-old will call-in to “KWS Tonight” this Thursday evening & talk about his season up to this point.

To view the show log onto http://www.kwssprints.com starting at 7pm pst on Thursday. It will then replay on the homepage to watch at your leisurely pleasure over the next week.

Over the last three King of the West Sprint Car Series events Golobic has been very strong and in position to win each time, with finishes of fourth and third the last couple races. Golobic returns to Antioch Speedway this weekend, where he will be searching for his second career Winged 410 Sprint Car win.

Also on the show this week we will preview the upcoming KWS event in Antioch on Saturday and showcase highlights of our previous four appearances at the track dating back to last season. Winners in that time frame include Tim Kaeding on two separate occasions, along with single victories being captured by Jonathan Allard and most recently Kyle Hirst.

Going into this weekend Allard holds a commanding lead in the King of the West driver standings, however, it’s anything but over behind him, with a number of interesting battles among the top-10. The most exciting fight to watch will be fourth through seventh in the points, as those drivers are separated by only 26-markers.

The “Kaeding Performance Flashback” this week will feature highlights from SPEEDWEEK 1996 courtesy of Grove Hill & Quality Race Video. Elk Grove’s Bobby McMahan claimed the overall title & ended the week by winning at Antioch Speedway. The veteran currently ranks fifth in the KWS standings going into the track on Saturday.

We’ll also continue giving everyone an in depth look at the Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort, which will be hosting our three-day championship banquet weekend on November 9, 10 and 11. You can get your banquet reservations in now by contacting (707) 374-2222. To reserve hotel rooms for the weekend contact Jackson Rancheria at (800) 822-9466.

Be sure to also tune-in for a special announcement regarding next season.
