Bryan Hulbert - SAPULPA, Okla. (November 1, 2022) Looking to the 2023 season, Steve Hahn announced today that a Tuner division will be added to the lineup of classes at Creek County Speedway. The division will follow USRA Rules and will rotate throughout the 2023 lineup, along with Dwarf and Junior Mini Stocks.
“The rules that Todd [Staley] has in place for the Tuners just make sense, and with most tracks around here already being USRA sanctioned or on their rules, it’ll make getting the class going that much easier,” stated Hahn.
The goal of the Tuner division is to provide a starting point for people wanting to get into racing that can be built with parts and cars available in area salvage yards. Thus, keeping the cost to race down as much as possible while providing drivers a chance to learn and eventually progress into faster divisions.
The rules for the Tuner division can be found at https://usraracing.com/rules. The Tuners will use USRA rules but will not be sanctioned. The 2023 lineup of events at Creek County Speedway is in the works. Updates will be posted as soon as they are finalized.
Creek County Speedway is located at 18450 West Hwy. 66 between Sapulpa and Kellyville.
