Friday night found Ryan Timms in action at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.) aboard his Hampel Oil No. 5T Sprint Car for the final World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event at the 4/10-mile oval.
With 39 Sprinters on the grounds, Timms laid down the fourth-fastest time in his group in his Eagle Chassis before placing third in his heat. Earning the 12th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Ryan gained one spot in the 30-lap affair to register an 11th-place finish.
On Saturday afternoon at Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kan.), Ryan’s third-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the sixth row for the weekend finale. With $10,000 on the line, Timms lost four positions to finish 16th.
He will return to action next week on Thursday as the Trophy Cup 28 kicks off at Thunderbowl Raceway (Tulare, Cali.) with a massive $200,000 overall purse for the three-day event.
