Hoss, Tulsa, OK. (October 10 , 2022) – With the final points night in the books and the Night Of Champions awards ceremony scheduled for November 20, 2022 officials would like to recognize the 2022 Champions and Rookies.
McLaughlin Mortgage Team Jr Sprints
Champion:
Brody Stewart of Edmond, Oklahoma would win the championship with a stellar season. 8 wins 21 top 5’s and 28 Top 10’s in 31 starts would help him achieve championship
Rookie Of The Year
Oakley Fuller. Fuller of Lowell, Arkansas made the trip to Port City Raceway weekly and has shown major improvements over the season. Finishing 8th in overall points with 2 Top 5’s and 15 Top 10’s in 31 races.
K&B Racing A Class
Champion:
Jake Rosario a Guthrie, Oklahoma native that now calls Broken Arrow home was close to clinching a championship in 2021 but came up short. In 2022 he made it known that he would be a contender. Finishing the season with 16 Top 5’s and 19 Top 10’s in 22 events, it would be consistency that helped Jake Rosario clinch the K & B Racing A Class Championship.
Rookie Of The Year:
Hayden Mabe of Sand Springs, Oklahoma made the move to A-class, and came with an open mind, a positive attitude, and an eagerness to learn. He would end the 2022 season 4th in overall points with 5 Top 10’s in 19 events.
Whitacre Glass Restrictors
Champion:
Brody Brown of Lawton Oklahoma Started the season as just racing to get seat time and hone in on his craft of racing. Part way through the season he and his team saw the points and went to work. He was able to finish the 2022 season with 3 wins 17 Top 5’s and 21 Top10’s in 29 starts and the Whitacre Glass Restrictor Championship.
Rookie Of The Year
Bryce Kujath of Dewey Oklahoma found himself in a race for rookie honors that came down to the final night and the final lap of the season. Kujath earns rookie of the year honors with a 4th place finish in overall points and these stats, 1 A Feature win 2 Top 5’s and 11 Top 10’s in 25 starts.
Storm Roofing & Construction Sportsman
Champion:
Darren Stewart of Edmond Oklahoma would come out of the gates swinging in 2022 making his name known as a contender in the Championship battle. With 12 wins, 27 Top 5’s in 30 starts, it is clear as to why we crown Darren Stewart the Sportsman Champion in 2022
Rookie Of The Year:
Coltin Strickland of Skiatook, Oklahoma had a solid rookie season at Port City Raceway. An 8th place finish in overall points, and 16 Top 10’s in 27 starts lead him to capturing Rookie Of the Year honors.
Dragonfly Aviation Non Wing
Champion:
Kris Carroll of Claremore Oklahoma came into the 2022 season as the reigning champion and quickly picked up right where he left off. Ultimately 11 feature wins, 19 Top 5’s and 25 Top 10’s in 28 starts would lead Carroll to being crowned the 2022 Champion.
Rookie OF the Year
Hayden Mabe, a name we have seen in the recap already. Mabe would make the most in his rookie campaign. He would end the 2022 season 6th in overall points with 8 Top 10’s in 16 events and pick up the Rookie Of The Year honors in Non Wing as well.
The Night of Champions Banquet is set for Sunday November 20, 2022 at 3 pm. The John L Rucker Warehouse located at 1227 S Detroit Ave in Tulsa Oklahoma will once again host the event.
