SALISBURY, N.C. – Trevor Cline raced to victory Wednesday Night in the Winged 600 Micro Sprint feature at Millbridge Speedway. It was his first win in Wednesday night competition and second overall in the 2022 season.
Cline started on the front row and darted into the lead off turn two on the opening lap. By lap eight he was challenged by Will Boprey as the duo navigated heavy two-and-three wide lapped traffic. While Cline lead at the line each lap, Boprey took the lead multiple times over the next few laps.
A caution on lap 12 changed everything and when the green was back out, Cline cruised out to a comfortable margin as Boprey was challenged by Jesse Love. Late in the race Love gained some on the leader but never was able to mount a challenge. Cline won, followed by Love and Boprey.
Coen McDaniel celebrated his 12th birthday in Victory Lane following the 15-lap Open Outlaw Kart feature. Kyle Beattie won a thriller in the 20 lap Buggies feature while his son Karter picked up the victory in the 15-lap Intermediate Outlaw Kart feature.
