Landon Britt continued the 2022 season with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) on Tuesday night at Clay County Fair Speedway (Spencer, Iowa).
Twenty-six competitors entered the event, and Landon qualified sixth fastest in his group before advancing three spots in his heat race to finish third.
Main event action saw Britt roll off from the eighth-starting spot for the 25-lap feature. He battled in the Top 10 throughout the main event before crossing the finish line with a solid sixth-place performance.
On Thursday evening the action shifted south to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the opening night of the 2022 edition of the Hockett/McMillin Memorial. With 78 entries on hand, Landon qualified fastest in his group in time trials to earn the fourth-starting spot for a heat race. He passed one car in his heat, which locked him into the seventh-starting spot for the feature.
On a narrow-grooved surface he was able to advance a single spot to a sixth-place finish.
Action continued on Friday night with the second round of the event. Preliminary action left Britt short of locking into the night's feature, but he was able to utilize a provisional to start 24th. He retired early from the feature to save his equipment and was credited with a 24th-place finish.
The event drew to a close on Saturday night with Landon starting the night by winning his B-Main from the third-starting spot to lock into the 17th-starting spot for the feature. He advanced a single spot in the main event to finish 16th.
