Timms follows World of Outlaws to Skagit and Grays Harbor

Trekking west to The Evergreen State, Ryan Timms returned with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series on Thursday afternoon at Skagit Speedway (Burlington, Wash.) to kick off the Sage Fruit Skagit Nationals.

With a seventh-place finish in his heat race relegating him into a consolation race for another shot at the preliminary feature, Timms missed a transfer spot by one car with a fifth-place outing.

In a field of 31 cars on Friday, Ryan followed up the 27th-fastest qualifying effort with a seventh-place finish in his heat. Rolling off on the fourth row of his B-Main, Timms’ came one spot short of a transferring again with a fifth-place performance.

On Saturday, Timms secured his spot into the $26,000-to-win Sage Fruit Skagit Nationals with a third-place finish in his B-Main after finishing sixth in his heat. Starting in 23rd, Timms inched forward five spots in the 35-lap affair to finish 18th.

For the $10,000-to-win A-Main on Monday evening at Grays Harbor Raceway (Elma, Wash.), Ryan posted a fifth-place finish in his heat, which positioned him on the seventh row for the feature. Losing five spots in the 30-lap affair, Timms crossed the line in 18th.
