Bryan Hulbert - Murfreesboro, Arkansas (June 19, 2012) Lapped traffic was Brady Bacon’s savior, enabling the Fatheadz Eyewear/XXX Chassis No. 99 to capture his fourth win of the 2012 season and become the fourth different winner with the Lucas Oil ASCS Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek.
Drawing the outside of the second row, Bacon dashed to the inside line on the start to take over third. Pursuing Danny Lasoski for the runner up spot as Loyet showed the way, the No. 99 stayed tucked to the inside line with slower traffic starting to intertwine with the front of the field.
Taking the runner up spot away from the Engler Machine/Wolf Weld Chassis No. 1m of Lasoski on lap thirteen, Bacon would begin his pursuit of the Vacuworx International No. 05 of Brad Loyet.
Watching the lanes of slower traffic, Bacon waited as Loyet was forced off the bottom of the speedway. With the lead in sight, Bacon shot under Loyet on lap sixteen. Dropping Loyet to second the fight for a spot on the podium continued with Danny Lasoski looking for second.
Working into the closing laps, slower traffic would thin around the top three allowing the battle to tighten up but Bacon would not be denied the top spot at the checkered flag.
Brad Loyet would hold off several charges from Danny Lasoski for second with “The Dude” rounding out the podium. Zach Chappell recorded his best finish of the year in fourth after starting sixth with Wayne Johnson coming from eighth to round out the top five
Jason Johnson charged from fifteenth to sixth with Matt Covington taking seventh. Johnny Herrera took eighth with Logan Forler taking ninth; his third top ten run of the season. Brian Brown would hold on to round out the top ten.
