HASTINGS, NE - (August 26, 2022) Travelling with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Spring Car series is a rare opportunity in the world of Motorsports, but that's what's on the horizon for Aydin Lloyd after a final two nights of racing for the 2022 season.
KAM Raceway in Hastings, NE hosts two nights of racing this Friday and Saturday with the NOW600 micros. Aydin is ready for the weekend, stating, "It's pretty exciting to be able to run with Terry Mattox's group again before the year is done. There's a reason why this class and sanction is so respected at our level in micro sprints so I'm happy to support him and NOW600." This will be Aydin's first ever trip to the KAM Raceway, and will be events number 4 & 5 on the season for the Brandon, SD based driver. In 4 total starts this season, Aydin has finished in the top 10 on three separate occasions.
Once this weekend is complete, the plans change quickly as the focus turns to wrenches, tire prep, and maintenance for the CJB Motorsports team. Aydin Lloyd will be joining the team for the upcoming west-coast swing working for the Spencer Bayston-driven 5 car. "It's such a huge opportunity for me, and such a vote of confidence too. I'm so lucky to have the chance to learn from a professional team and grow personally in my knowledge of these cars and the sport," says Aydin. He continues, "It's a really hard decision for me just because we are almost through the end of the season at Huset's. It's been great helping Blaine Stegenga. We've come a long ways this year and I'm thankful to that family for helping me along the way."
The weekend will end the racing season for Aydin Lloyd the driver, but for Aydin Lloyd the crew member a bright new beginning is dawning.
