Tim Crawley Champion Of 2022 Lucas Oil ASCS Sizzlin Summer Speedweek

Bryan Hulbert - DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (July 30, 2022) Completing five of the seven scheduled nights, plus a sixth rain shortened event that awarded show up points, Tim Crawley captured the title of Champion during the 2022 edition of the ASCS Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek.

The third time that Crawley has topped the multi-race test of driver and machine (2004, 2009, 2022), "The Crawdaddy" captured a pair of wins at Batesville Motor Speedway and the rescheduled event at Tulsa Speedway, along with four poduims, five top-five, and just as many top-ten finishes. His worst finish in five events was fourth at I-30 Speedway.

Wayne Johnson ended up second, and collected a win at I-30 Speedway despite continuing issues with his back. Matt Covington captured Thursday night's win at 81-Speedway, with a borrowed engine, and finished third in Speedweek standings. Dale Howard and Blake Hahn completed the top five.

Running the second part of the Speedweek, Dylan Westbrook was the other winner on the week at Caney Valley Speedway on Wednesday.

The next event for the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network is the $3,000 to win, $400 to start Marmom/Keystone Road to Knoxville at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. on Tuesday, August 2.

The 2022 season will mark the 31st year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.

For fans not able to attend, the series can be seen live on two platforms, with RaceOnTexas.com on FloRacing.com featuring National Tour events in tandem. Both are subscription-based sites.
