The Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints are in the midst of their busiest part of their schedule. Some road shows combined with some local flare, not to mention it’s time to kick-off Fair & Festival season.
This weekend the series headlines the Outagamie County Fair in Seymour, WI (Home of the Hamburger) on Friday July 22. The fast third-mile has become popular with teams as the track has produced some great high speed action. Saturday the series travels a couple hours south to the birthplace of the IRA, Wilmot Raceway for the annual Founders Night event July 23rd.
Next weekend the series goes back in Fair mode as they make their annual trek to the Antigo, WI half-mile to headline the Langlade County Fair Friday July 29th. Then Saturday July 30th The IRA 410’s head southeast to the Plymouth Dirt Track for the annual Open Wheel Spectacular which has the PDT/MSA 360’s, and mighty Badger Midgets joining in on the fun in the Cheese Capitol.
Coming off his spectacular last corner win at the King of the Wing co-sanctioned event with NOSA at the River Cities Speedway in ND, Jake Blackhurst took the point lead over Illinois driver’s Jake Neuman, with Jordan Goldesberry just sitting a single marker behind in third. Danny Schlafer and Scotty Neitzel round out the top five in what appears to be a great season long battle among the best in the Midwest.
