Bryan Hulbert – WACO, Texas (July 20, 2022) Call it a battle of the Red River because the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating is on both sides of the river this weekend with the Bill White shootout at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco on Friday, July 22, and Lawton Speedway on Saturday, July 23.
Waco and Lawton are both $3,000 to win, $200 to start.
The fifth time the Bill White Shootout will have been contested, the previous four shows have been topped by three drivers. Justin Melton snagged the win in 2018 and 2019, followed by Kyle Jones in 2020. Winning the event for his father one year ago, Paul White also carries the point’s lead into this weekend’s Waco showdown.
Friday’s card will also include IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Southern Sport Mods, Outlaw Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, and Jr. Limited. Gates open at 6:00 P.M. with racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). Admission is $20. Senior and Military are $15, Youth (6-12) is $5, and kids five and under are free. Pit Passes are $35.

The season’s only trip to Lawton Speedway, the tour’s last stop in August 2021, went the way of Steven Shebester.
Racing on Saturday, July 23, goes green at 8:30 P.M. Fans can enter the track starting at 6:00 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for Seniors, youth (12-15), and Military, $2 for kids 6-11, and free for kids five and under. In addition to the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series, divisions include USRA Limited Modifieds, Factory Stocks, and Mini Stocks. Lawton Speedway is located at 3501 SW Sheridan in Lawton, Okla.
