After an exciting Fireworks Celebration on 4th of July weekend, the Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget Series returns this Sunday for the Iowa Invasion at the Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway.
Andy Baugh took last year’s season opening victory at the Dubuque Fairgrounds over Jake Neuman and Zach Boden, and the series will once again bring a strong contingent of drivers and teams for the season’s lone race in the state of Iowa.
Points leader Todd Kluever was able to extend his advantage over the rest of the field last Sunday to 53 points, with Kyle Stark sitting in second, and Zach Boden 93 markers back in third. Boden appeared to be on his way to his second career BMARA A Main win last Sunday before a mechanical failure ended his run. Daltyn England and RJ Corson round out the Top 5.
In addition to the stars of the Badger Midgets, IMCA Modifieds, Northern Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks and Late Models will join the action for a five-division night of racing. Pit Gates will open at approximately 2:00PM, with Grandstands opening at 5:00PM, and opening ceremonies set to get underway at approximately 6:30PM. Tickets will be available at the track.
