Landon Britt trekked northwest over the Fourth of July weekend for Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) action, which kicked off on Friday evening at Nebraska's Boone County Raceway.
Twenty-eight racers entered the program as Landon made his debut at the facility. Starting the night with the third-fastest time in his qualifying group, Britt started and finished second in his heat race to lock into the eighth-starting spot for the feature.
He raced in the Top-10 for much of the 25-lap feature before ultimately registering an 11th-place finish.
On Saturday evening the opening round of the Western Kansas Showdown was held at WaKeeney Speedway as Landon embarked on another new track for the second-straight night.
With 26 Sprinters on hand he started fifth in his heat race to lock into the 13th-starting spot for the feature. Advancing one position he crossed the finish line in 12th.
Landon rounded out the weekend on Sunday night at WaKeeney Speedway with the second round of the Western Kansas Showdown. Finishing eighth in his heat race, Britt mounted a great run in the feature to advance 13 spots to a ninth-place finish.
Landon is eighth in the latest Lucas Oil ASCS standings, and third in the Rookie of the Year battle.
