For the fourth time in eight tries this 2022 season, Mother Nature was the only winner at Wilmot Raceway on Saturday, June 25.
Morning rains saturated the facility and combined with additional rain along with potential storms forecasted throughout the remainder of the day, Raceway officials cancelled the highly anticipated return of the USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car Series for the first time at Wisconsin's original home of sprint car racing in 10 years.
The next events coming up for the 1/3-mile clay oval located on the Kenosha County Fairgrounds in Wilmot begins with the 3rd Annual Carload & Fireworks Night on Tuesday, June 28 featuring AutoMeter/Brewington Electric Wisconsin WingLESS Sprints, Modifieds and Bandit 4-Cylinder Stock Cars. Admission is $25.00 per vehicle with each passenger required to have a seatbelt. Grandstands open at 5:00 p.m. with on track activity beginning about 5:30 p.m. and racing slated for 6:30 p.m.
Pits open at 3:00 p.m. with pit passes $27.00.

The traditional NOS Energy World of Outlaws Sprint Cars invade Wilmot on Saturday, July 9 for the Larry Hillerud Memorial. WingLESS Sprints and IRA Lightning Sprints are on the program as well. Pits open at 2:00 p.m. with grandstands opening at 4:00 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. with qualifying and racing to follow.
