Bryan Hulbert – LUBBOCK, Texas (June 24, 2022) Getting his fourth win of the season, and second in as many races, Justin Zimmerman led start-to-finish at West Texas Raceway in the Inaugural Avenger 35 with the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating.
Collecting a $3,000 check for his 17th career win with the non-wing tour, Zimmerman took the D-Up Racing No. 1 first to third on the opening lap and kept pace from there. Pursued by Caleb Stelzig, the No. 21x missed catching Justin by 0.339-seconds. Chase Brewer with Jeremy Jonas, whose father was being honored on Friday night, crossed fourth. Caden McCreary completed the top five.
Rolling from 13th, Colt Treharn made it to sixth with Paul White moving from 17th to seventh. Michelle Parson, Steven Shebester, and Keith Martin made up the top ten.
The ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating is back on track Saturday, June 25 at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas for the $5,000 to win G.W. Elkins Southwestern Championship. Gates open at 5:30 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). Other divisions on hand include TKO Gas IMCA Modifieds and Air Compressor Solutions Street Stocks. The 2022 season will mark the 31st year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.
