Britt Returns to ASCS National Tour Action

Landon Britt returned to action with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) National Tour over the weekend with a doubleheader in Arkansas and Louisiana.

Action opened on Friday night at 67 Speedway of Texarkana (Ark.), where a stout field of 26 racers registered for battle. Landon hit the ground running with a heat race win, which earned him the fifth-starting spot for the 25-lap feature.

Unfortunately the night wouldn't end as the team hoped. Britt slid back to the 11th position before retiring from the feature on the 13th lap with mechanical issues.

On Saturday night action slide south to Louisiana's Boothill Speedway. Twenty-one Lucas Oil ASCS Sprinters entered the program, and Landon started the night with the sixth-fastest time in his group, which earned him the sixth-starting spot for his heat race.

Advancing to a fifth-place finish in his heat race locked Landon into the 13th-starting spot for the 25-lap feature. Unable to make up much ground in the main event, he ultimately crossed the finish line in 14th.

Landon sits ninth in the latest Lucas Oil ASCS standings.
