(June 15, 2022) Back at Dodge City Raceway Park on Saturday, June 18, the Drive to Zero United Rebel Sprint Series presented by Mel Hambelton Ford will headline the Jerry Soderburg Memorial Driver-Fan Appreciation Night where the Grandstands will be free and open for the public to attend.
The site of the 2022 season opener, Liberal’s Steven Richardson grabbed the April 23 win by leading every lap over a field of 19. Going into Saturday, June 18, the third of four scheduled visits to the three-eighths oval is the eighth round of the 2022 season.
Six winners through seven events this year, Richardson is the only repeat winner with the first two events of the year. Other winners include Steven Shebester (81-Speedway), Monty Ferriera (I-70 Speedway), Ty Williams (I-70 Speedway), Jeremy Huish (Oberlin Speedway), and most recently, Zach Blurton (Lincoln County Speedway).
Still, in search of his first win of the season, consistency has placed Luke Cranston atop the 2022 season standings. Jeremy Huish holds second with only two points to make up, followed by Jon Freeman, Ty Williams, and Cash Beeson making up the top five.
Saturday, June 18, will include Modifieds, Stock Cars, Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks, and Mod Lites. Gates open at 6:00 P.M. with racing at 7:30 P.M. (CDT).
