June 6, 2022 - Sun Prairie, WI - The Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget Series heads back to Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, WI this Sunday for the Norm Nelson Classic. Sunday marks the third appearance of the series at Angell Park after rain forced the cancellation of last week’s Kevin Doty Classic.
Todd Kluever, a Sun Prairie, WI native, earned his first series victory at Sycamore Speedway last Saturday night and will be looking to get a win in front of his hometown crowd this weekend. Kluever, a former NASCAR driver for Roush Yates Racing, joined the series last season and has steadily worked his way to the front of the grid.
Several drivers are looking for their first victory of the 2022 race season including Zach Boden who has set fast time in all but one event this year. Boden will look to end the night the way he has started so many and get to victory lane. Tyler Baran, who finished runner-up at the last event at Sycamore Speedway, is still looking for his first win as well. Baran’s teammate, Jeff Zelinksi, has yet to find victory lane this season. The multi-time Cornfest event winner has shown speed this season with a heat race win at Sycamore last Saturday and will be looking to get his first victory this season.
