Cody Morris, Tulsa, Oklahoma (5-15-2012) - Fast becoming an industry leader in oil lubrication technology, the Fort Worth, Texas based Oil Medics lead a pack of ardent sprint car racing sponsors and the American Sprint Car Series in debuting the inaugural Red River Rumble.
The Red River Rumble consists of four regional showdowns pitting the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region against their Red River rivals; the Oil Medics ASCS Lone Star Region.
While each of the four match ups between the Sooner and Lone Star forces grant full points to each respective region‘s 2012 season long campaign, the inaugural Red River Rumble features a four race shootout within each of the bordering ASCS divisions.
The Red River Rumble will be scored in ASCS fashion, with the accumulated point leader at the conclusion of the four ASCS regional match ups earning the top prize of $500 and the inaugural Red River Rumble title. The runner up point finisher will receive $350 with the third place driver in accumulated points garnering a $250 prize.
The first of four Red River Rumble sets featuring the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region vs. the Oil Medics ASCS Lone Star Region takes place this Saturday, May 19th at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.
The famed Mesquite, Texas half-mile oval will also host the second installment of the Red River Rumble just three weeks later on June 2nd.
The Sooner and Lone Star forces meet for the third Red River Rumble card on Saturday, July 21st at Cowtown Speedway’s action packed ¼ mile bullring located in Kennedale, Texas. The fourth and final Red River Rumble contest follows just one week later when the four race challenge finally makes its’ way across the stream for the July 28th Red River Rumble finale at Lawton, Oklahoma’s historic Lawton Speedway.
The Oil Medics are joined by City Vending, TBJ Promotions, Pro-Tech Services, MANA Fleet and Auto Center of Burleson in bringing Red River race fans four sensational ASCS regional showdowns. The six sponsors have put up a combined $1,200 for the inaugural Red River Rumble point fund.
However, the door remains open to the very end of the four race set for any individual or business to pledge their honorable support to the inaugural Red River Rumble’s point fund or contingency awards.
Event organizers are hopeful that Red River Rumble tee shirts will be ready by this weekend’s inaugural showing at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, but Rumble gear will definitely be available for the following three events at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, Cowtown Speedway, and Lawton Speedway. Half of the proceeds of each Red River Rumble tee shirt sold will be donated to the Steve King Foundation.
