Gunnar Setser kicked of the 2022 #BigDance at Indiana's U.S. 24 Speedway on Thursday night. A star-studded field of 81 entries were on hand for the program. While the event didn't begin on a high note for Setser as he slipped from the second-starting spot in his heat race to a ninth-place finish, Gunnar rallied from the 16th-starting spot in his qualifier to a fourth-place finish.
On the heels of his qualifier performance, he locked into the 19th-starting spot for the 30-lap prelim feature. Passing nine competitors during the course of the event, he crossed the finish line in 10th.
Action continued on Friday night with the second round of the mega event. Gunnar finished second in his heat race before advancing one spot to a fourth-place finish in his qualifier to lock into the 19th-starting spot for the feature.
In the 30-lap prelim feature he advanced seven spots to finish 12th.
The weekend drew to a close on Saturday night with Gunnar fighting his way into the 21st-starting spot for 35-lap mega finale. His night came to an early end, when he retired from the event on the 16th circuit to a 17th-place finish.
