Unfortunately Mother Nature picks up her second win of the season at Ohio Valley Speedway. Persistent overnight and morning rain and with more forecasted throughout the day and evening have forced speedway officials to cancel the ‘Vapors in the Valley’ event scheduled for Friday Night, May 27th.
With the 2022 well underway, the Ohio Valley Speedway has been the host to some awesome Friday Night action so far. The upcoming schedule looks to be no different as we continue in the month of June. The Valley will take a week off on June 3rd as the racing world turns its attention to the neighboring West Virginia Motor Speedway for the 2 day $50,000 to win Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series Historic 100. The Valley will roar back into action on Friday Night, June 10th for a very FAN FRIENDLY $5 ‘Jam the Stands’ Night featuring ‘Meet Your Heroes’ Picture and Autograph Night. The following weekend the Valley will switch gears and nights and welcome the Lucas Oil OSTPA Summer Shootout Truck and Tractor Pull on Saturday Night, June 18th presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts for a must see event featuring some of the nations best pulling teams. We will close out the month of June with a special race near and dear to the Ohio Valley Speedway as we roll out the 14th Annual Greg Schilling Memorial. Some of the nations best open wheel modified racers will look to add their name to the coveted winner list as we celebrate former friend and racer Greg Schilling. So make your plans now and don’t miss any of the upcoming action at the Ohio Valley Speedway.
