After a one-week break Gunnar Setser was back to business on Saturday night at U.S. 24 Speedway (Logansport, Indiana).
A stellar field of 49 entries were on hand in the Main Street Baker Non-Wing A Class, and after qualifying fifth fastest in his group, he advanced from fourth to third in his heat race, which left him just shy of locking into the main event.
Starting third in the B-Main, he crossed the finish line in the fourth position to earn the 17th-starting spot for the main event. Gunnar enjoyed a strong run in the feature, passing nine cars to finish eighth.
Meanwhile, 32 entries entered into the CSI Non-Winged Micro division, and Gunnar qualified fastest in his group to earn the fourth-starting spot for the first heat race of the night. He would unfortunately slide back to a seventh-place finish, and as a reult was relegated to the B-Main. He passed two cars to finish fifth in the B-main, which brought his night to an early end.
