Bryan Hulbert – HAYS, Kan. (April 29, 2022) Officials with both Rolling Plains Motor Speedway (RPM Speedway) and the Drive to Zero United Rebel Sprint Series presented by Mel Hambelton Ford have made the call to postpone the tour’s return due to dangerously high forecasted winds on Saturday, April 30.
The new date is Saturday, May 14.
Officials at RPM Speedway on their Facebook Page stated that the weekly racing classes are not canceled, saying, “Regarding the season opener for weekly classes, we will make any decisions on that tomorrow (Saturday) around noon. Thank you for understanding.”
Saturday, May 14 at RPM Speedway, open at 4:00 P.M. for teams to begin pulling in. Grandstands open at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). Grandstand tickets are $10, Senior (65+) are $5, Kids 12 and under, and Military (active or retired) with ID are free. Pit Passes are $30 for anyone 14 or older. Youth (6-13) are $10, and Kids under five are free.
The Drive to Zero United Rebel Sprint Series presented by Mel Hambelton Ford will be joined by the track’s weekly IMCA divisions (Sport Compacts, Hobby Stocks, Sport Mods, Stock Cars, and Modifieds).
