Inside Line Promotions – ELDON, Mo. (April 13, 2022) – Garet Williamson will make his debut at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 this weekend.
The Bryant Paver Motorsports driver is tackling a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series doubleheader at the dirt oval in Pevely, Mo., on Friday and Saturday.
“I’d like to make the show each night, especially after our performance at Lake Ozark last Saturday,” he said. “This is a new weekend and a new opportunity. You have to be on point from hot laps on whenever you race with the World of Outlaws so hopefully we can unload strong.”
Williamson has made a handful of starts with ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ this season, including last Saturday at Lake Ozark Speedway. He qualified 14th quickest in his group and placed eighth in a heat race before electing not to start the Last Chance Showdown.
“We didn’t qualify very well and we struggled in the heat race,” he said. “Starting pretty far back and with how things are this year with replacing parts we didn’t want to risk tearing up the car in the LCS. The night didn’t go how we wanted, but you learn every time you race with the World of Outlaws.
“I think it slows everything down more and I drive better going back to the 360s. It’s a lot different between the two classes. You have to be so good every lap with the Outlaws and make sure everything you do has a purpose. We want to transition that to racing in the 360s as well.”
Williamson is hopeful he can adapt to the new track quickly this weekend.
“We’ve been on some high-banked, fast tracks,” he said. “I feel like tracks like that can be our strong suit. I feel we get around pretty good on anything with banking.”
