Inside Line Promotions – HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. (April 11, 2022) – Connor Sheffield has branched out into the apparel industry with the goal focusing on helping fund medical cannabis research.
Sheffield is a 17-year-old familiar with battling both on and off the track. He’s faced a life-long fight with Gastrointestinal Dysmotility Pseudo-obstruction. Medical cannabis was a game changer, allowing Sheffield to eat regularly and live functionally despite the uncurable disease. It has also given him the opportunity to race micro sprints on dirt and last year he achieved a major feat by becoming the first known medical cannabis pediatric patient to capture a feature victory.
Sheffield is aiming to produce similar success with his apparel line On The High Side Apparel.
“We’re excited to have our company grow so quickly with so much support from the racing and cannabis communities that we were able to be one of the main sponsors of our race team, and also sponsor other small teams,” Sheffield said. “Especially with the way the cost of racing is right now, we want to give back to the racing community while also helping fund medical cannabis research.”
The brand sponsors Connor Sheffield Racing, which features both Maryland native Sheffield and Pennsylvanian Pat Bealer as drivers with Kris Reardon as the crew chief. On The High Side Apparel also sponsors various drivers around the country, including Brandon Shaw of California, Matt Andrews of Pennsylvania, Michael Hoffmaster of Pennsylvania, Mason Magee of Maryland, Chase Schott of Pennsylvania, Ryan Rochelle of Pennsylvania, Amanda Onimus of Pennsylvania, Corey Waegel of New Jersey, Connor Fetrow of Pennsylvania and Brandon Kressler of Pennsylvania.

On The High Side Apparel also has the first medical cannabis billboard up at Bridgeport Motorsports Park in Swedesboro, N.J., where most of the sponsored racers including Connor Sheffield Racing compete at weekly.
