OSWEGO, NY (April 4, 2022) - Speedway officials have announced the Sunday rain date policy for the upcoming 2022 season scheduled to begin on Saturday, May 28 with the return of the 'Port City 150.'
Including Opening Night, a total of six events on this year's calendar will be under a Sunday rain date policy, meaning if that show was postponed due to weather, it would be completed in its entirety on Sunday.
Sunday rain date weekends include Opening Night on May 28, the Independence Weekend Grand Prix on July 2, Track Championship Night on August 20, and all three Oswego Winged Super Challenge Series programs scheduled for June 4, July 9 and August 13.
Additionally, should the Supermodified Twin 35's and Super Stock 30-lapper set for June 11 fall to weather, the entire program would be moved to run alongside the Pathfinder Bank SBS and J&S Paving 350 Super Twins scheduled for June 18.
The 2022 Sunday rain date policy will be used based on the weather forecast for the entire weekend. It will also be based on whether or not the Speedway opens on Saturday for a partial program. All decisions on Sunday rain dates and ticket policies will be made by track management as early as possible.
Rain dates for the 2022 season have now been added to the Speedway schedule at OswegoSpeedway.com.
