VINCENTOWN, N.J. (April 4, 2022) - Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports have been on a tear over the last two weekends in Pennsylvania Posse Country, ultimately stretching their top-ten streak to three with a near-podium run at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” on Saturday, April 2.
Whittall, driver of the JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, Enterprise, No. 67 sprint car, finished fourth in his most recent Juniata County visit, utilizing the front row to lead nearly half of the 25-lap program before surrendering the top spot to multi-time track champion, Logan Wagner. Anthony Macri would also sneak by the New Jersey native, as well as Lucas Wolfe.
In actuality, Whittall started fourth on the feature grid, but a hiccup by outside-pole sitter Mike Wager allowed Whittall to move forward a row for the ensuing complete restart.
Impressive enough, Whittall’s top-ten streak, two of which within the top-five, has occurred at three different facilities, kicking things off with a ninth-place run at Williams Grove Speedway on March 25, followed by a fifth-place outcome at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway on March 26.
“What a run for this team. It’s exciting to have momentum and be able to use it like this. In the end, experience beat us on Saturday. I think we had a car that could win, but more opportunities will come and we’ll do our best to take advantage of those opportunities,” Justin Whittall explained. “We have another big weekend ahead. There’s no reason why we can’t press on and keep this top-ten streak alive.”
ON DECK:
Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports will continue their 2022 campaign with another full weekend in Pennsylvania Posse Country, this time prepping for potential visits to Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, April 8, Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, April 9, and BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 10.
