Howard Moore battled through adversity during the 2021 Flip / Flop 50 weekend at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Ark.) with the United Sprint Car Series (USCS) Outlaw Thunder Tour.
Twenty-nine drivers registered for action on Friday night, and Howard started his weekend with a fourth-place finish in his heat race, which relegated him to a B-Main on Saturday.
Finishing second in the B-Main, Moore locked into the 13th-starting spot for the first of two features on Saturday night. He would go on to race to a fourth-place finish in the 25 lapper.
In the second 25-lap feature Moore started seventh on the grid, and quickly worked his way forward in the field, taking the lead on lap 12. Howard looked to be on his way to the win before making contact with a lapped car with just two laps remaining. The ensuing damage brought his night to a disappointing early end in the 22nd position.
