Howard Moore traveled to North Alabama Speedway (Tuscumbia, Ala.) on Saturday evening for the United Speed Contest Series (USCS) Outlaw Thunder Sprint Car event.
Twenty-eight drivers entered the program, and Howard started his outing at the clay oval with a third-to-second run in his heat race, which positioned him eighth on the starting grid for the feature.
Howard passed five cars in the 30-lap feature to finish third behind Davie Franek and Derek Hagar.
