After Mother Nature axed his original plans, Ryan Timms made the short trip to Port City Raceway (Tulsa, Okla.) on Thursday afternoon to enter his driveWFX.com No. 00 Midget into battle for the POWRi Turnpike Challenge. With a sixth-place finish in his heat race pinning him 15th on the starting grid for the feature, Timms clawed forward three spots in the 30-lapper to finish 12th. (TopRow photo)
The following night, Timms trekked to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Ark.) to compete with the Lucas Oil ASCS for the doubleheader weekend. Following the fastest-lap in his qualifying group, Timms jumped up two spots in his heat to finish second. Rolling off on the pole for the A-Main, Ryan dropped two positions to register a third-place finish. He followed Derek Hagar and Landon Britt across the line.
In a field of 49 Sprint Cars on Saturday, Ryan came in third in his heat before capturing a consolation victory. Passing six cars in the 30-lap feature, Timms reeled in a 12th-place outing.
