As the story of the 2012 racing season begins to unfold, there is one constant — Cars using Astro Titanium fittings. Not only are they helping drivers make it to Victory Lane, they are in the process of becoming the go-to manufacturer for racers everywhere when it comes to fittings. With their stock and custom-made parts, they are sure to be an asset to your team just like they were for Tim Kaeding, Craig Dollansky, Wayne Johnson, and Tony Bruce Jr.
To begin the western invasion, Tim Kaeding took Astro Titanium fasteners to Victory Lane in Las Vegas and Thunderbowl Raceway, making him the first driver to win two World of Outlaws races this season. Kaeding’s win in Vegas was no easy feat, as he had to out duel both Jason Sides and Steve Kinser to take the win. At Thunderbowl Raceway, the Californian had to outrun his competitors and Mother Nature to take the victory. Kaeding had to endure many cautions, a damaged nose wing, and even a rain delay, but he prevailed using the high side of the track to his advantage.
Also, picking up a notable finish at Thunderbowl Raceway was Craig Dollansky, who spent the final laps of the event trying to track down fellow Astro Titanium driver Kaeding. On the final restart, Dollansky had worked his way into the Top-three and had Jason Sides between himself and the runner-up spot. On the final restart, Dollansky powered past Sides and took the second position, just before the checkered flag flew.
In ASCS action, Wayne Johnson scored another win for Astro Titanium. On Friday night at Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Texas, Johnson out-gunned Tony Bruce Jr. to notch the victory. After several caution flags to open the race, Johnson took the lead on the sixth lap and led the remainder of the 30-lap contest. The following night at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas, Johnson also made a splash by executing a late race pass to take the second position.
Another standout in the ASCS Series who came close to notching a victory for Astro Titanium was Tony Bruce Jr. At Golden Triangle, Bruce led the first five laps of the event, before falling back to the second position. He then held off charges for the rest of the event to keep the position. The following night at Royal Purple Raceway, Bruce finished fourth, scoring another top-five performance for Astro Titanium.
