VINCENTOWN, N.J. (March 21, 2022) - It was a tough outing in Pennsylvania Posse Country for Vincentown, New Jersey’s Justin Whittall, but despite the bumps and bruises, highlighting his weekend with a 17th-place score in Williams Grove Speedway’s $5,500-to-win season opener on Friday, March 18, Whittall is already looking ahead, anxious to restart his season with another action-packed weekend on March 25-27.
In addition to his appearance at The Grove, Whittall, driver of the JW Motorsports, JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, Enterprise, No. 67 sprint car, joined the action at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, March 19, as well as Port Royal Speedway on Sunday, March 20. Although not qualifying for feature action at Lincoln, Whittall rebounded slightly and finished 19th at the “Speed Palace” In addition to his appearance at The Grove, Whittall, driver of the JW Motorsports, JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, Enterprise, No. 67 sprint car, joined the action at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, March 19, as well as Port Royal Speedway on Sunday, March 20. Although not qualifying for feature action at Lincoln, Whittall rebounded slightly and finished 19th at the “Speed Palace" - cut from further progress due to a late race incident.
Whittall was on a top-ten streak before his Williams Grove Speedway visit, first finishing ninth in Lincoln Speedway’s season-opening Icebreaker, followed by a tenth-place outcome in Port Royal Speedway’s 80th season lidlifter.
Technically, Whittall was scheduled to compete in only two events in Pennsylvania, but with Port Royal’s Saturday sprint car program moved to Sunday, the two-race weekend translated into three.
“We’ll regroup this week and try again next weekend…that’s all any team can do,” Whittall said, a former winner at Williams Grove Speedway. “Hats off to my crew for their hard work this weekend. It ended up being a three-race weekend, and it looks like it could be another three race weekend for us this Friday through Sunday. We’ll be ready for a fresh start.”
ON DECK:
Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports will continue their 2022 campaign with another full weekend in Pennsylvania Posse Country, setting aim on Port Royal Speedway and Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, March 26-27. Williams Grove Speedway is also a potential destination for Friday, March 25.
