Weekend action took Landon Britt to the famed Devil's Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas) for the 49th annual Spring Nationals.
Forty-six Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) entries were on hand for the opening round of the two-day event on Friday night, and Landon would battle a free car throughout the night.
He qualified fourth fastest in his group but slipped from second to fifth in his heat race. As a result, he was relegated to a B-Main, where his night came to an early end with a ninth-place finish.
On Saturday evening, Britt bounced back to qualify second fastest in his group and backed it up with a third-place finish in his heat race, which locked him into the 15th-starting spot for the feature.
Due to abrasive track conditions the feature was shortened to 20 laps. On a rubbered racing surface, Britt slipped to a 21st-place finish with heavily worn tires.
