World of Outlaws Rained Out at Thunderbowl Raceway

Heavy rains have postponed racing action, new date to be determined

TULARE, Calif. - March 17, 2012 - After heavy rains hit the area and with a forecast of additional wet weather throughout the night, Thunderbowl Raceway and World of Outlaws officials have been forced to postpone tonight's race.

A makeup date is being actively pursued. For updates on a rescheduled date, go to www.ThunderbowlRaceway.com or www.WorldofOutlaws.com.

Californian Tim Kaeding won Friday's event at the high-banked, one-third mile to become the first repeat winner of the season while four-time champion Donny Schatz took over the lead in the points.

The World of Outlaws will compete next Friday and Saturday at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif., for the Mini Gold Cup. The series will then wrap up its West Coast swing with races at Merced Speedway on March 30 and Calistoga Speedway on March 31.
