Inside Line Promotions – INDIANAPOLIS (March 11, 2022) – Scott Bogucki is embarking upon his first season in the United States as a full-time 410ci winged sprint car driver.
The Australian has teamed up with Snow Racing to tackle the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions schedule in 2022.
“I’m super excited,” Bogucki said. “It’s something I’ve aways wanted to do. I raced for Clayton Snow in 2018 in California. We’ve remained friends since and when he reached out and wanted to do something I thought it was a great fit. He’s got beautiful race cars and I know since he is putting the time and money into the cars he’s as hungry as I am to be successful.
“I’d love to run top five in All Star points and try to win some races along the way. I haven’t been able to race with the All Stars a lot, but I ran third with the series at Devil’s Bowl Speedway a couple of years ago during the pandemic. I feel like if we get rolling winning races is a reasonable goal.”
Bogucki has spent the last few seasons as a competitor on the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour. He earned four triumphs with the series last year and five victories overall – both the most in a single season in the United States for Bogucki.
The first points-paying All Star event of this season is April 8 at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. The team plans to make its season debut the previous weekend at Attica Raceway Park to tune up for a 70-to-80 race schedule.
“I’ve been running in California the last 10 years and I’ve had drivers like Justin Sanders, Bill Balog, Carson Short, Tim Crawley, John Carney II, Brock Zearfoss and Scott drive,” Snow Racing Owner Clayton Snow said. “Being in California is tough because I want to build a program. I decided last year to make the jump to run the All Stars this year. The goal is to run the World of Outlaws.
“Scott and I get along and have fun. I think if he has consistency he can be a top competitor. With getting 70 or 80 races together we can be a competitive team.”
Snow manages the racing path for up-and-coming driver Cole Ciraulo, who is a contender on the Pirelli GT4 America series. Snow is also the car owner of the No. 9k winged sprint car driven by Kevin Thomas Jr.
“Both teams will be based out of our shop in Indianapolis,” Snow said. “Our goal is to maximize efforts to accelerate the learning curve.”
While Bogucki’s focus is on piloting Snow’s sprint car this season, he will make select starts in his own sprint car, including March 19-20 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, during the 49th annual Spring Nationals featuring the ASCS National Tour.
“This deal with Clayton came together last minute and I’m super thankful for the opportunity,” he said.
