Rules Update >> ASCS Aluminum Block Requirements Finalized

DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (February 23, 2022) Requirements for the ASCS Brodix Aluminum Block have been finalized. Teams that utilized the optional power plant will need to adapt the following:

  1. Approved ASCS Stamped Ballast must be ordered through the American Sprint Car Series by calling Terry Mattox at (918) 417-0624.

  2. ASCS Stamped Ballast will be 60lbs, is required, and must be placed in front of the motor plate.

  3. Minimum weight requirement after the race, including car and driver, will be 1,475lbs for all competitors regardless of engine setup. Any competitors running the optional aluminum block, and caught not running the ASCS stamped ballast will be disqualified.

Questions regarding the weight can be directed to Terry Mattox.

The 2022 season begins Friday, March 18, and Saturday, March 19 at the Devil’s Bowl Spring Nationals.

The 2022 season will mark the 31st year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.
