Inside Line Promotions – BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (Feb. 14, 2022) – The 2022 season is slated to begin this week with five races in six nights for Greg Wilson and the Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics and DNC Hydraulics backed Seeling Motorsports team.

East Bay Raceway Park near Tampa, Fla., hosts the FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions on Monday and Tuesday followed by three nights of the Ronald Laney Memorial King of the 360s Thursday through Saturday.

“I’ve always enjoyed East Bay,” Wilson said. “Being at a race track for a week straight, it should allow us to make adjustments and hopefully have some successful runs throughout the week. The good thing about racing at the same place for a week straight is you can make changes. No matter how you unload you’ll have the opportunity to test and learn and get better throughout the week. Hopefully we unload good, have a little luck and can work on fine-tuning.”

Wilson and Company have a similar schedule planned in 2022 as last season, which was the first full year together between Wilson, the team and crew chief Andy Potter.

“We’ll do a lot of All Star races and World of Outlaws shows filled in with whatever makes sense,” Wilson said. “We’re flexible with what we want to do between the Seeling No. 97 car and our No. w20 car. We’ll be around 60 to 80 races. I’d say three quarters of the schedule will be in Joe’s car, but if Joe doesn’t want to race somewhere we can take our car so it will be a full schedule.”

The team enjoyed success together last year, including a pair of victories to go along with Wilson’s one triumph in his sprint car.

“The key has always been to get an established crew chief,” he said. “I felt like from the first night on when Andy came to help on my car it was a sign that we need to get some help. Once we teamed up with Andy and the Seeling team I felt like we ran pretty good. Andy and I both felt like at the end of last year we need to continue to work on our half-mile program. As far as gelling and communicating, it was pretty good from the get-go. I’m just excited to get racing again. We’re trying to get the program to where we’re competitive everywhere we go and I think we’re on the right path.”

Wilson also added his gratitude for the marketing partners that continue to support him.

“I’m proud of the fact that Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics, DNC Hydraulics and many others have continued their support,” he said. “The longevity of it has been pretty amazing. Not too many people in racing can say they’ve had the relationships with their sponsors as we have.”
