Inside Line Promotions – CLEWISTON, Fla. (Feb. 7, 2022) – Garet Williamson passed the most cars last weekend during the USCS Series season opener hosted by Hendry County Motorsports Park.

The Bryant Paver Motorsports driver was tied for the most positions gained – 15 – on Friday and he was the Hard Charger Award winner on Saturday after picking up eight positions. Both nights yielded top-six finishes as Williamson made his debut at the track.

“It took a while to get rolling both nights,” he said. “It’s really sandy down here in Florida so we were learning every time we hit the track. It was good to make the progress we did.”

Williamson’s debut began on Friday when he finished seventh in a heat race, which lined him up on the inside of the 11th row in the A Main.

“We made a lot of ground up from the heat race to the feature,” he said. “It was just me and one crew member last weekend so I was happy to see the adjustments we made pay off.”

Williamson rallied in the main event, charging from 21st to sixth place to end outside of the top five for the first time this season.

The team returned to the oval on Saturday, when Williamson placed third in a heat race to garner the 11th starting position in the main event. He methodically maneuvered to a third-place showing, which was his third top five in the last four races.

“We moved forward again and I felt like we were a contender,” he said. “It was great to improve our finish each night and end on a positive note.”

The team will join the USCS Series this Friday and Saturday at Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, Ga., where Williamson will make his debut.
