Kaeding Takes Wild Ride at Perris Opener
PETERSEN MEDIA- Saturday night at the Perris Auto Speedway, Bud Kaeding’s night came to an end on the 20th lap as the versatile driver took a wild ride while running in the sixth spot.
Fresh from winning the night’s B-main, Kaeding gridded the field from the fifth row on the hooked up ½ mile speedway.
As the first part of the race went without stoppages, Kaeding was able to work the middle of the track aboard his BZE/K&N Filters/Alviso Rock entry, as he diced up to the sixth spot.
With the race continuing to click off laps, Kaeding continued to battle with David Cardey, Mike Spencer, and Corey Kruseman as the trio raced in a tight pack.
On the 20th circuit, Kaeding’s night came to an abrupt halt, as his Yak Graphics/Factory Kahne Shocks/Maxim went for a hard ride, that ended with Bud on his lid and his night over.
“You definitely don’t like wrecking, and that was a heck of a hit,” said Bud. “I’m a little groggy but I’ll be alright. ButlerBuilt makes a great seat so I’m thankful for that. I think we had a top-five car tonight- but you have go to be on all fours for all 30-laps to make that happen. I have a great group of guys who will get this back together, and get us ready for Vegas.”
