Changes coming to Tulsa Speedway for 2022

(January 4th, 2022) - Changes are coming to the new Tulsa Speedway for 2022.

Co-owner Keith Haney has taken over daily operations of the speedway to help out co-owner Todd Martin and they are instituting several improvements to ensure a successful upcoming 2022 season for fans and competitors.

Plans are underway to construct a new building to house new restrooms, FULL concessions, merchandise, ticketing/will call, and office complex. They are also buying track equipment along with a new electrical grid so generator's aren't needed. Todd & Keith believe that to run an efficient facility these things needed to be done just like Tulsa Raceway Park is.

Track improvements are also planned. A new clay surface will replace the present clay on the quarter-mile oval and additional lighting will be added in turns two and three. Improvements in the pit area are also planned with new weight scales, grassing, parking etc.

All of the planned construction has delayed the release of a 2022 racing schedule. Racing is expected to start on March 18th with Open Testing all classes weather and construction permitting. March 25th with Classic Chevrolet Friday Night Lights Opening Night (Big Payout) and then April 1 with the ASCS Sooner Region sprint season opener. A full schedule will be released in the coming weeks.
