Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex Launches Tentative 2022 Schedule

Sweet Springs, MO. (1/4/22) Rejuvenated and revamped for a full season of intense open-wheel racing action, Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex is eager to launch into a fun-filled 2022 with premier National, Regional, and local events spanning a six-month schedule.

Kicking off the year with a pair of Test and Tune practice weekends on April 16th & April 23rd, SSMC will then host a two-night visit from the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division Micros as well as the Heartland Auto Racing Tour Non-Wing Micros on April 29-30, support classes include the Sportsman Class on Friday with the Jr Sprints on Saturday.

Opening weekend for the Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex grueling eighteen-event regular classes points championship chase begins May 6-7 with added incentives on the line for the Restrictor class.

The fan-favorite Small-Town Throwdown continues the traditions of years past with Practice Night on July 1st, Preliminary Night on July 2nd, all culminating in the July 3rd Championship Night for the Outlaw, Stock, Restrictor, and Jr Sprint classes all competing in thrilling non-wing racing.

Two exciting evenings at the racy Missouri’s Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex are on tap for the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midgets with the running of the John Hinck Championship on September 9-10, support classes include Outlaw Non-Wing and Restricted.

Traveling into the area for a trio of marquee events, the Lucas Oil POWRi National and West Midget Leagues will first tackle the track on July 17th with the Lucas Oil POWRi Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League also on the docket to debut feature action on the tight-quartered facility. Then, the POWRi Midgets Leagues will return for a two-day stay on September 30th and October 1st with the Engler Machine and Tool Outlaw 600cc Micros as well as Outlaw Non-Wing, Restricted, and Jr Sprints as support classes.

Packing the weekly points racing schedule with special events such as the Armed Forces Night, Gibson Memorial Night, and wrapping up the season of racing excitement with three days of top-notch wheelwork in the annual Show-Me Showdown in Memory of Dean Hathman.
