About Adam

I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a little something about myself. I was born in 1990. I always knew I wanted to get into racing. I enjoyed all aspects of the sport. My Dad races on a weekly basis and so I have grown up being around race cars. I enjoy the build of the cars as much as the actual racing. It gives me a tremendous sense of pride to build a car from the ground up and have it work and be successful. My Dad has taught me all aspects of the car from beginning to end. Its hard to describe the feeling of building a Chassis and Engine and have it all come together and end up in the Winners Circle. The racing bug or genes, are in me from all parts of my family. As previously mentioned, my Dad races, my brother races and my Mom's maiden name is Saathoff and she is cousins to Johnny "The Jet" Saathoff, 4 time IMCA National Modified Champion. I was one of the lucky ones, when I turned 14 was when they changed the rules allowing 14 year olds to race. Had a lot of fun with that as people were amazed that I could race but couldn't drive a car on the street. I have managed to get many fan favorite awards as well as Sportsman of The Year awards. Due to my successes on the track, my Dad was also Engine Builder of The Year in 2011 and 2012, which was the last year that IMCA did that award. We are very proud of that accomplishment as he only builds engines for our racing program. I got my career 100 Feature win on Night #1 of the Abilene Texas Ice Breaker in February of 2016. In 2015, I was able to build my 1st "JetStrong Chassis at Jet Racing Very proud of that as its my own design and it is one fast hobby stock! They are still being built today as I have made the tough decision to leave Jet Racing and make the move to Iowa to be closer to my 3 year old son Layne. The distance has gotten to be too much for us and need to be closer to him to be there for him as he grows up. We will continue to race in Iowa and of course in Nebraska when we make our trips back home. We added a Jet Racing Sport Mod to our racing program in 2016 as well and have been working on getting that all dialed in and seeing what we can do with that. Racing is an amazing sport, it has the ability to teach you a lot about yourself and you will get to meet people from all walks of life. I have made some amazing friends over the years and look forward to meeting many more. The biggest thing my Dad has taught me about this sport is...Race someone the way you'd want to be raced, you may not like someone out there but you better at least respect them because we are all equal...WE'RE RACE CAR DRIVERS!!

Every person has dreams, but they cant be reached without heart and dedication and no one does it on their own. I am blessed to have some of the best sponsors in dirt track racing behind me and I could not do it without them. I also have the support of All of my family and have some of the best fans in the racing community following me. Adam Armstrong Racing is moving to a different address, but the beliefs and the pride and determination will remain the same. I've came along way since the 14 year old kid climbing into a race car for the 1st time but one thing hasn't changed, we are a TEAM, I'm nothing without all my crew and family so LETS GO RACING!!!!
