BOISE, Idaho (August 3, 2016) This past weekend was a busy one for Logan Forler and the Rush Concrete Pumping No. 2L as the team took on four nights of racing across South Dakota and Minnesota.

Starting off at Park Jefferson International Speedway with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network on Thursday, July 28, Forler found himself struggling to dig his way forward.

“We just made the wrong decisions in the Heat Race, so we ended up having to start in the back, and the track was awful. We just had to take what we could get and move onto the next one,” commented Forler who ended up with a 11th place finish.

The next one was the Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn. On Friday, July 29. Taking part in the night’s 360cid program, the trip was Forler’s first to the facility since being redone and ended with a 10th place showing after starting 14th.

Asked about the new configuration and setup, Forler replied, “I think it’s better than it used to be. It’s a lot racier. We just went to test for the National race we have there in a few weeks and we were okay. We tried a few things that weren’t bad, kind of hoped for a better finish, but it was decent.”

Swapping power plants to the 410cid, Forler raced Saturday, July 30 at Badlands Motor Speedway.

“The car was really good. We just had to start a ways back, but it was a good night. We were able to maneuver and pass,” commented Logan on the eighth place finish from 12th.

Ending the weekend out on Sunday, July 31 with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, Logan managed an 11th place finish from 16th despite the track taking rubber, “We didn’t draw very well, and the track just made it tough to pass so we’re looking forward to this weekend and getting things turned around at Knoxville.”

Logan’s fourth year competing in the Knoxville 360 Nationals, his best finish in the $15,000 to win event came in 2012 with an 11th place finish in the B-Main.

“I’ve had a lot of luck in the past at Knoxville, and at the same time, I’ve struggled. You just have to into that place and be as consistent as possible on the track and do the best with the hand your dealt and just not get overwhelmed.”

Logan is slated to qualify on Friday, August 5.
