Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (July 12, 2016) – Joe Trenca will return to 410ci winged sprint car racing this weekend in Central Pennsylvania.
The Mucci Motorsports driver is scheduled to compete in his first 410 event since late May when he races Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg and Saturday at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal.
“You always know the competition in Central Pennsylvania is as tough as it gets,” he said. “I’m excited to get back there to see how we’ve improved since the couple of races we ran down there to start the season.”
Trenca finished in the B Main during his 410 debut at Williams Grove Speedway before he rallied for a 15th-place result in his most recent race there. He has also been rained out twice this season.
“Williams Grove is a track that takes a lot of laps to learn and become a contender,” he said. “I noticed a big difference in our results from the first trip to the second so I’m hoping we’ll see that improvement this weekend as well.”
Saturday will mark Trenca’s 410 debut at Port Royal Speedway.
“I know that’s another big, fast track,” he said. “We need to start the night strong to put ourselves in a good starting position for the main event. Hopefully we can have a consistent night and close the weekend with a great run.”
